Mission Statement:

To plan, develop and implement strategies, initiatives and programs, which promote an environment suitable for the continued learning and enhancement of all officers, committees and overall organization.

To ensure that the organization, committees and officers reflect the values and best practices outlined in the constitution and bylaws.

To maintain focus on service, academic achievement and tight bonds between members so to ensure that Sigma Alpha Delta has wider recognition as being Baruch College’s Honor Society.

Spring 2010 Executive Board Initiatives:

• To select an important figure from outside of the Sigma Alpha Delta organization to award Honorary Membership to the Society.
• To successfully conduct new events and programs.
• To restructure the organization’s infrastructure, constitution, bylaws and place within Baruch College, CUNY and NYC community.
• To re-establish historical events and programs that were beneficial to the Baruch College community.
• To increase collaborative efforts with student-based, corporate, and various other types of organizations to garner greater results on projects.
• To create and maintain better relations with the faculty and staff of Baruch College.
• To maintain a development-focused mentality within the Executive board.
• To have a consistent and strong presence within Baruch College.
• To communicate our goals, initiatives and opportunities for growth more visibly.
• To foster creativity, innovation and intellectual open thought throughout our organization.
• To reaffirm our commitment to service within society.
